Leadership Development Program

This award was established through the new Canadian Nursing Students’ Association Leadership Development Program which was created to support students in seeking out leadership opportunities within Canadian Nursing Students’ Association and through our stakeholders. The students selected will join the Canadian Nursing Students’ Association Board of Directors for their August Board of Directors Meeting where they will have a chance to see the inner workings of the organization and be a part of their advocacy efforts and discussion in the boardroom. Travel, accommodation, and meals will be reimbursed according to Canadian Nursing Students’ Association Travel Policy. 

Nomination & Application Process

To nominate yourself, submit an essay (250 words or less) outlining your involvement and leadership within your program and the Canadian Nursing Students’ Association and how you intend to use this opportunity to influence Canadian healthcare, the nursing profession and your career as a future nurse. 

Applicants will be selected by a committee based on the merits of the written submission, which describes how they have demonstrated nursing leadership during their nursing program. Two students will be selected to attend.
