The National Conference



The 2018 CNSA National Conference will be held in Nanaimo, British Columbia hosted by Vancouver Island University.
The National Conference is usually held for four days in January of each year, and includes a day or more of National Assembly. Typically, a social event kicks on the National Conference, followed by two days of speakers and workshops. Keynote speakers are features, as well as a number of breakout sessions which allow attendees to pick from a variety of topics. Included in the is the National Team Debate A student from each CNSA Region is selected and together they debate around an ethical issues facing nursing and nursing students. Also included in the conference is the Scholarly Showcase, where students are selected to present their research posters at the National Conference. Each year, the host school for the next National Conference is selected by voting members of the CNSA Annual General Meeting (or National Assembly) during our Elections. Schools interested in hosting the next CNSA National Conference will have an individual from their school present a proposal to the National Assembly. If successful, this individual is then elected to the CNSA Board of Directors as the National Conference Director.
