Welcome to the 2017 Western-Prairie Regional Conference, hosted by Langara College in the beautiful city of Vancouver, BC. The theme “Bridging the Gap: Nursing Vulnerable Populations” symbolize the disconnect often found within the complex system of providing health care, especially when caring for our most vulnerable populations. From bridging the gap between different disciplines working towards a common goal, to the gap between policy-makers and those affected by their decisions, how can we as nurses use our voice to best advocate for our clients?
Included in this full and exciting weekend will be three engaging keynote speakers, two expert panels sessions, a variety of workshops led by local community leaders and also student presentations. We’ve also planned an evening banquet in the Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront’s revolving dining space for a unique experience, before going out for a taste of Vancouver’s nightlife.
